Tasked to protect a challenging disused estate, Security Dog Delta and her handler were carrying out a regular patrol when Delta indicated that they were not alone.

Having worked and trained operational police dogs for 34-years, I often get asked about the sensory capabilities of my canine companions, and the science and statistics are quite fascinating.

While this is great, I thought it was appropriate to take a moment to talk about the softer side of being a security dog handler at Code 9 Security, about the hours of playtime, the countless treats and the ‘slobbery’ tennis ball!
