Treats, balls and playtime

There are many great stories about how our dog section has helped tackle issues, apprehend intruders and sniff out contraband. While this is great, I thought it was appropriate to take a moment to talk about the softer side of being a security dog handler at Code 9 Security, about the hours of playtime, the countless treats and the ‘slobbery’ tennis ball!

Being a security dog handler is not your typical ‘9 to 5 job’. You and your four-legged friend live and work together, train together, play together and have the highs and lows together. Your dog will come home and live with you and your family, play in your garden, and no doubt try and steal your dinner.

To understand how our dog section succeeds, we think it is important to share with you the behind the scenes truth of being a security dog handler, and maybe one or two funny tales besides.

Look out for our upcoming series of ‘tales of the dog section’…
