The Brief

This Case Study relates to a managed team of 8 canine-assisted security professionals, providing a 24-hour estate security capability in a challenging disused brewery estate, supported by a responsive tactical patrol team, drone capability, hazardous areas response team and risk manager.

Code 9 Security was delighted to be appointed by global brewing giant, Molson Coors, to provide security and critical safety functions at the former Manor Park Brewery in Alton, Hampshire.

Closed in 2015 and slowly falling into a state of disrepair while the site was awaiting demolition, urban explorers, vandals and thieves targeted the site in an attempt to make YouTube videos, steal valuable metals and recklessly cause damage.

Although the site was disused, Molson Coors were very conscious of their occupiers liability risk and needed a security partner they could rely on to deter, detect and intercept trespassers and threats, professionally, effectively and safely.

Appointed in late 2019, Code 9 Security deployed its hazardous area response team and dog section to take custody of the estate until its demolition in 2021.
