One last time...
For one last time this year, and before delivering my final briefing before the new year celebrations we look back on what has been a busy, volatile and interesting year. At the same time, we look with great excitement as to what 2018 may hold.
2017 was host to a string of terrorism and tragedy in the UK, from the bombing of the Manchester Arena, to the callous attack on Westminster Bridge, the horrendous assault on Borough Market, and the tragic inferno at Grenfell Tower. But, amidst the tragedy, we have come together as a nation positively, we have stood up against hate, we have demonstrated our resolve.
We anticipate lots of changes in 2018, but not in political debate, which no doubt will still be shrouded in Brexit talks and broken negotiations.
We have made big plans for 2018, creating new opportunities, new jobs and embarking upon new exciting challenges - and we look forward to sharing more information about this with you in due course.
Finally, we would like to thank all of our colleagues, their families, our clients, our friends, ambassadors and supporters for their continued support and endeavours.
We wish everyone a very happy new year.
